LoRaWAN Inline Pipe Flow Meter Kit

Model: PS-260

An inline LoRaWAN water flow meter reports volume flow in L/min for building branches and process lines you can isolate for installation. The PS-260 combines a pulse or magnetic flow element with a battery-powered LoRaWAN node and decoder-mapped engineering units — no separate pulse counter wiring back to a panel. Building operators choose PS-260 when they need branch-level consumption trends — makeup water, circulation loops, or light process feeds — not just wet/dry leak state. The inline element installs on isolatable pipe sections with documented straight-run requirements in the installation guide.

What is an inline LoRaWAN flow meter?

Inline flow meters install in a pipe run and measure the rate water passes through the bore. PS-260 targets DN15–DN50 class branches where utilities teams need trend data — makeup water, circulation loops, or process feeds — not custody transfer. The LoRaWAN node scales pulses to L/min (or m³/h) in the decoder profile so historians receive meaningful units. Install on isolatable sections with straight-run requirements per the datasheet.

Respect straight-run requirements upstream and downstream of the meter — distorted flow profiles from nearby elbows skew readings. Install on isolatable branches so maintenance can remove the element without draining the whole building. This kit targets trend and allocation metering, not legal custody transfer; state that clearly in customer proposals. Combine with leak ropes when the goal is both consumption anomaly and physical water on the floor.

Decoder & Integration

Flow rate, cumulative volume, battery, and alarm flags are defined in the PS-260 decoder table. Re-zero cumulative totals after known maintenance windows using your LNS downlink policy. Pulse scaling to L/min and cumulative m³ is defined in the decoder table. If your SCADA expects m³/h, convert in the integration layer and document the factor for handover. Factory functional-test records and TTN/ChirpStack decoder maps ship with every kit. Map uplink bytes once on your network server, then reuse the profile across sites.
