LoRaWAN Rope Leak Detection Sensor

Model: PS-210

A rope-type water leak detection sensor catches water intrusion anywhere along its cable — data centre floors, server rooms, basements, and under pipe runs. The PS-210 detects conductive liquid along the full rope length and reports the zone over LoRaWAN, running on battery for years. Ships factory-tested with decoder profiles for TTN and ChirpStack. Integrators use PS-210 in data-centre and plant-room rollouts where a single gateway covers hundreds of metres of rope. Trial MOQ and factory functional-test records ship with every order so you can validate decoder mapping before a full-site deployment.

What is a rope water leak detection sensor?

A rope leak sensor uses a conductive cable that changes state when water bridges the conductors anywhere along its length. Unlike a single-point probe, one PS-210 rope covers long runs under CRAC units, chilled-water returns, and cable trays — ideal when you cannot predict where water will first appear. The LoRaWAN node mounts high and dry while the rope follows the lowest practical water path. Uplinks report wet/dry or zone status with a timestamp so BMS, DCIM, or cloud dashboards can page facilities staff before equipment damage spreads.

Install rope before final commissioning so it follows the lowest point in each zone — under CRAC drip paths, along trench grates, and parallel to chilled-water headers. Keep the LoRaWAN node above the expected water line; only the rope contacts liquid. For multi-room sites, segment ropes per hall or use zone indices in the decoder so alarms name the row without operator guesswork. Pair with PS-220 door contacts when you need to correlate plant-room access with leak events on the same gateway.

Applications

  • Data centre floors and server rows — rope under CRAC drip trays and pipe runs
  • Plant rooms and mechanical spaces — along chilled-water returns and pump skids
  • Basements and car parks — perimeter rope where gravity collects leakage
  • Telecom and network closets — under rack rows and cable management trays
  • OEM private-label kits for facility monitoring integrators

Decoder & Integration

The PS-210 uplink encodes wet/dry state, optional zone index, battery millivolts, and a frame counter. Apply the Particlesensing decoder profile on TTN or ChirpStack so dashboards receive named fields instead of raw hex. Wire the decoder output to your DCIM rules engine or MQTT topic once; reuse the same profile when you clone sites. Event-driven uplinks on wet transitions reduce airtime versus blind periodic reporting while still sending heartbeat frames for dead-node detection. Factory functional-test records and TTN/ChirpStack decoder maps ship with every kit. Map uplink bytes once on your network server, then reuse the profile across sites.
