What is a LoRaWAN soil moisture and EC sensor?

Capacitive soil probes measure dielectric permittivity related to water content while EC electrodes estimate salt and nutrient mobility in the same profile. PS-410 installs at the depth you actually irrigate — not a generic 10 cm default. Agronomists use EC trends as a proxy, not a lab replacement. Decoder fields export moisture % and EC in documented units for farm software and OEM dashboards.
