LoRaWAN Submersible Water Level Sensor Kit

Model: PS-240

A LoRaWAN submersible water level sensor measures tank, sump, and reservoir depth using hydrostatic pressure — no floats or sight glasses required. The PS-240 reports level in metres over LoRaWAN with bar-scaled engineering units in the decoder map. Factory-tested for facility day tanks and industrial sumps. PS-240 replaces sight glasses and manual dip tapes on day tanks and sumps where mains power for traditional transmitters is awkward. Engineering units arrive in the decoder map as metres of water column — ready for SCADA historians and cloud dashboards after a single LNS profile import.

What is a hydrostatic LoRaWAN level sensor?

Hydrostatic level transmitters measure the pressure exerted by the liquid column above the sensor. PS-240 installs submerged near the tank bottom, vented to atmosphere for gauge reference. Level converts to depth in the decoder so SCADA and cloud dashboards show metres or percent full. The kit suits clean water and many utility applications — confirm media compatibility on the datasheet before chemical tanks.

Vent the cable to atmosphere on gauge installations so barometric changes do not shift the reading. For sumps with debris, install a stilling well or protective cage so the sensor measures water column, not floating solids. Confirm chemical compatibility before chemical-day tanks — PS-240 targets clean water and many utility applications. Calibrate zero with the tank empty or at a known reference level during commissioning.

Decoder & Integration

Level (m), temperature (optional), battery, and alarm thresholds are encoded in the PS-240 payload specification. Zero and span calibration steps are documented in the installation guide. Level fields export in metres with configurable alarm bands in the installation guide. Pair cumulative trend data with PS-260 flow on makeup lines when you need both inventory and consumption on one dashboard. Factory functional-test records and TTN/ChirpStack decoder maps ship with every kit. Map uplink bytes once on your network server, then reuse the profile across sites.
