LoRaWAN Door / Window Magnetic Contact Sensor Kit

Magnetic reed contacts pair a sensor on the frame with a magnet on the moving leaf. When the door opens, the field breaks and the node uplinks an open event. Facility teams use PS-220 contacts on plant-room doors, riser panels, and cold-store entries to correlate access with leak or temperature alarms. Because the kit is wireless, retrofits avoid riser cable pulls that traditional access loops require.

Align the magnet and reed switch gap per the datasheet — oversized gaps on heavy fire doors cause missed open events. For after-hours use, log opens only outside business hours in your rules engine rather than flooding operators during normal shift traffic. Door contacts do not replace intruder alarm loops where regulation requires graded security; they supplement environmental monitoring by tying access to leak or temperature context.
