LoRaWAN Spot Leak Detection Probe

Model: PS-211

A spot water leak detection sensor targets a single location — drip trays, bunds, pump bases, and under AHUs where a rope is impractical. The PS-211 probe reports wet/dry over LoRaWAN within seconds of conductive liquid contact. Battery-powered, IP-rated, and factory-tested with TTN and ChirpStack decoder profiles. Use PS-211 where water pools in one predictable location — condensate trays, bunds, and pump bases — while PS-210 ropes cover unpredictable runs. Each kit includes OTAA join parameters and a decoder profile matched to the factory functional-test uplink captured before shipment.

What is a spot leak detection probe?

Spot leak probes sit in a defined catchment: a drip tray, condensate bund, or small floor depression. When conductive liquid bridges the sensing electrodes, the node uplinks a wet event. PS-211 complements rope kits — use spot probes where water pools in one place and ropes where leakage may occur anywhere along a run. Integrators often mix PS-211 under each AHU drip tray with PS-210 ropes along plant-room perimeters on the same gateway.

Mount the probe in the lowest corner of the tray or bund where water will first collect. Verify the catchment drains toward the electrodes — a level tray with the probe on a raised boss will delay detection. In data centres, one PS-211 per AHU drip pan is a common pattern; combine with PS-210 perimeter rope in the same hall for belt-and-braces coverage. Clean conductive deposits during planned maintenance so false dry readings do not mask slow seepage.

Applications

  • AHU and CRAC drip trays in data centres and offices
  • Pump skid bunds and day-tank overflow trays
  • Under vending, boiler, and water-heater pans
  • Cold-room condensate trays paired with PS-610 temperature kits
  • Remote telecom cabinets with limited floor area

Decoder & Integration

PS-211 payloads include wet/dry state, battery voltage, and link metadata. Mount the supplied decoder on your LNS to expose boolean leak state and last-seen timestamps to MQTT or REST integrations. Configure alert debouncing in your LNS or downstream rules if condensate splash creates brief wet pulses. The documented payload includes frame counters so you can detect stuck sensors that stop incrementing. Factory functional-test records and TTN/ChirpStack decoder maps ship with every kit. Map uplink bytes once on your network server, then reuse the profile across sites.
