Facility & Industrial Sensing Design

Particlesensing TeamPublished Last updated

A LoRaWAN sensing design must cover gateway placement, payload mapping, and power. This guide covers facility, industrial, agriculture, and food-chain layouts.

Start with the data the operator needs—leak events, tank level, pipe flow, or door status—then choose SKUs and a gateway count. Plant rooms usually need leak plus door contacts; process lines add flow and pressure.

Export decoder maps into the BMS or SCADA the site already runs. LoRaWAN sensors report process data; they do not replace statutory safety systems.
